NOTHING is PRIVATE!!!!

Cami and I ran an errand today (after her dentist appt) and decided that we would go to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. They have a very, very clean play area so as soon as we were done eating Cami was off to play. It was pretty quiet in there today except for a mom with two toddlers. As Cami stopped for a brief moment to get a drink she noticed the other mom bending over to put shoes on her kids. Before I realized what was going on my awesome, amazing, LOUD daughter announces: Hey mom...you and that mom have the same panties!!!! Ummmm, I think maybe yours are just a little bit bigger!!!!
Thank you Cami for announcing such things to the world! Thank you God for giving me an amazing little girl who will say whatever she feels whenever she feels! Nothing is private!!!

One Amazing Kid....

I had surgery on Friday and I'd have to say....I have one amazing kid! Marc sat Cami down and let her know what was going on and that Mami would have to do a lot of resting and if I had to get up I would need a lot of help. Since I got home from the hospital this kiddo has been so wonderful...trying to help me every 5 minutes (even when I don't need any help). She's constantly wanting to get me a drink, or help me to the potty, or read me a book, always asking me if I'm hungry, telling me jokes and making me laugh, and even wanted to rub my feet! (Yes, she saw Daddy doing it!) I'm so blessed with my family! I just wanted to share how wonderful they are!!!

Freakin' Pudding....

We recently got Rock Band 2 for the Wii, of course we also got the Country version! Well, Marc's been playing the drums, I've been on the guitar, and Cami has been singing. Any of you who know Cami, knows that this child LOVES to sing and dance. Even after we've turned off the game she will still hang on to the microphone and sing every song that comes to her mind.
Today she started singing Christmas songs, here are the lyrics my kiddo sang:

We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
And a Happy New Year....

Now bring me some freakin' puddin,
Now bring me some freakin' puddin,
Now bring me some freakin' puddin,
So I can eat it now....

Never, ever a dull moment!!!

Was it really a little girl?

I ended up taking Cami to the doctor today...she wasn't feeling well and we'll be going to NY tomorrow and I wanted to make sure she'd be okay for the trip. Cami has been up since 4 this morning and hasn't napped. We are sitting in the waiting room (this is after Cami told the receptionist that she thought she had bugs in her ears), and a couple walks in w/ a little kid. Mind you Cami is laying in my lap a little out of it. There are a few other kids in the room waiting to be seen, all of them quiet except for the occasional cough. This "new kid" that came in the room "disrupted" the quiet time and was running up and down and making a lot of noise. This kiddo has a mullet, Transformer sneakers on, jeans, an orange monkey shirt, and a plush Tonka Truck that also made noise. The couple comes and sits next to Cami and I and the kid is running back and forth in front of us. This is what happened next:

Cami: (looking up at me) That's a cute little boy
Me: (Smiling and trying not to be sarcastic about this unruly child) Yeah!
Kid's Mom: Uh, that's not a boy! Her name is Emilia, she's a girl!
Cami: No, I think it's a boy!!!
Kid's Mom: No, she's a little girl
Cami: (Now w/ more "firmness" in her voice) No, I'm a girl and I'm wearing pink and that is a BOY!!!
All the other parents in the room started to snicker....I knew we were ALL in shock to find out that Emilia was not Emilio!!!

At this point I know my child is NOT going to back down! I half smiled at the other mom and gently covered Cami's eyes and told her to roll over and take a quick nap before the Dr. called her back. Thank you Lord she did w/ no resistance!!!!

Little Miss Talks Too Much

We went out for a quick meal....

Waitress: What would you like to drink?
Cami: Sweet tea please....ewww no lemon, I don't like lemon
Waitress: Me either
Cami: (thinking they have now bonded) Hi, I'm Cami...that's C-A-M-I! Some people call me Cami Palos, Mami calls me her big baby!
We all just busted out laughing! Thanks Cami!

She's asking for babies!!!!

Well, Cami has asked if she could have a baby. By the time Marc and I finished choking....she had cleared things up for us. She wants a baby brother AND a baby sister! Apparently she's been thinking about this for awhile (it doesn't help that Dora has twin siblings!) Since the initial time she asked, she has brought it up EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! She's even gone as far as to name them Jason and Michelle! I don't know what I'm gonna do w/ this girl! Just for the record....we are not pregnant! :0)

Kindergarten....

Over here school won't start til after Labor Day....a sacrifice, I know! Well the school that our Camster will be going to has a one year and a two year Kindergarten program. The kids have to be "tested" to find out what class they will be put in. There were a series of tasks the counselor would have Cami do to check her motor skills and such. Another part of the test was to ask questions......a few particular questions went like this:

Counselor: Cami, what does Daddy do at work?
Cami: Daddy works in a big building w/ lots of Marines...
Counselor: What does Mami do?
Cami: Mami teaches me number and plays w/ me....and she cleans. Mami is a cleaner!
*a few more questions then.......
Counselor: Cami, do you have any brothers or sisters
Cami: yes
Counselor: How many?
Cami: I want baby brothers and baby sisters
Counselor: Do you have baby brothers and baby sisters
Cami: No, Daddy says he's working on it!

I wanted to die!!!! Thanks Marc!!! LOL!!! Needless to say Cami will be in the one year Kinder program, the counselor said she was very smart and very VOCAL!!! If she only knew!

Did you really have to ask?

I took Cami to get her hair cut before school starts. She was so excited she talked and talked to the poor hair dresser. Finally when Katie (the hair dresser) got a word in, this is how it went.....

Katie: Well, Miss Cami you have beautiful hair!
Cami: Yes, Mami combs it and gets all the tangles out. I have long hair like a princess!
Katie: You do...who is your favorite princess?
Cami: ME!!!

LOL...that's my kid!

Yogurt....

We were at the airport today waiting on Alex's plane to arrive. We had already been there about an hour when we found out that the plane would be delayed even longer. Cami plopped herself down on the floor, crossed her legs, put her elbows on her knees and started humming. When we asked her what she was doing, Cami looked up at us and said, "I'm practicing my yogurt!" We did everything we could to not bust out laughing!

OH no she didn't!!!!

Well, it's happened! Cami is fearless (she got that from her Daddy) and Cami speaks her mind (also getting that from her Daddy!) LOL! Cami and I often go shopping together, run around and do errands before Daddy gets home from work. Keep in mind, we all know how loud my daughter speaks! This particular day went like this:

Shopping at a grocery store....it's a little crowded and a woman is bending over arranging some items on the bottom shelf.

Me: Excuse me

Woman: Oh no problem

Cami: Excuse me...excuse me lady, I can see your bottom!!!

Me: (HORRIFIED!!!)

Woman: (pulling up her pants and laughing) Oh that must have not been a pretty sight!

Me: I'm so sorry!!!! (RED in the face!!!)

Woman: Still laughing again says no problem!

Then on to the Dr's office....we are waiting to be called back. It's a little crowded so we are sitting in front of the sign in desk. A woman walks in w/ what seems to be her teenage daughter (about 16 or so). The daughter has on a very, very torn pair of jeans. Just then Cami sees the huge hole on the girls tooshie.

Cami: (eyes wide) WHOA...Mami!!!!

Me: (trying to cover Cami's mouth & giving her that look) mumbling: be quiet!!!

Cami: (pulling away) Mami...I see her panties!!! Nice ladies do not show their panties!!!

*At this point the mother turns around and looks at Cami...the daughter never flinches

Cami: No we don't show our panties, that's not nice!

Me: (At this point I give up...if the mother wants to get mad and say something, then so be it!) That's right Cami, we don't show our panties...that is not a nice thing to do. That's why we cover up and wear shorts under our dresses!

(Hey, I figured the girl wanted the attention to be wearing those jeans in the first place....and if the mother wanted to do something about it....at least she would have gotten great medical care! ) LOL!!!!

The nurse calls us back (saved by the bell...or so I thought)

Cami: (to the nurse) That girl is showing her panties....that's not nice!!!! (And then points to the girl!)

My kid has to have the last word!!! (Okay so she got that from me!)
